Job Summary
The Student Loan Collection Representative will be responsible for collecting on past due education loans via the use of auto dialer/manual phone contact. You will negotiate full payment or payment arrangements that are suitable for both the borrower and the company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collection Functions
- Skip-tracing borrowers to locate current residence and employment information
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls
- Assist borrowers to qualify for rehabilitation or consolidation of the loan. Negotiating balance in full payments, payment arrangements or legal referrals
- Preparing consolidation paperwork
- Reviewing accounts and schedule contact dates for follow-up calls
